Geschichten aus dem Wienerwald - by Ödön von Horvath

A tragic folk play between the charm of the waltz and social collapse. With Geschichten aus dem Wienerwald by Ödön von Horváth, the Graz University Theatre brings a classic to the stage that reveals the fractures of an entire society behind the seemingly cheerful Viennese façade. Between family expectations, economic hardship, and the desire for a self-determined life, a story unfolds about social pressure, dependency, and the question of how much freedom truly remains to the individual.

Admission is free, but tickets are required. They are available at the HTU office and can also be reserved by email at theater@htugraz.at.

Please note, that the play will be in German.

Performances:

  • Thursday, 4. Juni 19 Uhr
  • Friday, 5. Juni 19 Uhr
  • Saturday, 6. Juni 19 Uhr
  • Sunday, 7. Juni 15 Uhr

All performances take place in HS II, in the basement of Rechbauerstraße 12, 8010 Graz.
