ECTS for Voluntary Work

Graz University of Technology recognises voluntary social commitment by awarding ECTS credits!

Within the framework of freely selectable courses, ECTS points can be awarded for voluntary work under the following conditions:

• 100 confirmed voluntary and unpaid hours with a social organisation listed at https://www.freiwillig-engagiert.at/fuer-organisationen or https://oehunigraz.at/ects-fuer-ehrenamt/ AND
• fulfilment of the activity within a maximum of 2 consecutive semesters in which there is a valid admission to a regular degree course at Graz University of Technology.

Job-specific training periods or internships, the completion of civilian service or a voluntary social year or other training and/or employment relationships are not taken into account.

If the requirements are met, the student must be granted 4 ECTS points within the framework of the freely selectable courses.

This offer is in addition to the ECTS that can be obtained through engagement within the HTU.
