Communication Channels of HTU Graz

The following HTU Graz communication channels are actively maintained and are available for use:

Entries into the Studo-Calendar

Sub-groups of the HTU (Student Unions / STV, Departments / Referate, etc.) are allowed to apply for event entries into the Studo calendar. To get an entry write an email to the department of press and communication (presse@htugraz.at) with the following infomation:

  • Title
  • Description (similar to a social media posting)
  • Date and Time (start and end)
  • Location
  • Picture (ideally 1080x1080 pixels, .PNG, square!)
  • Link (optional, like a website of the event)

Filtering by study courses

In smaller events it makes sense to filter the students to be reached by curricula. There is also the option to differentiate by Bachlor and Master courses or all courses, who operate mainly on a specific campus (e.g. Alte Technik).

HTU Website

The HTU website clearly presents all important information for and about academic studies for all students at Graz University of Technology.
Please send any changes to: presseref@htugraz.at.

Student Unions Websites

HTU provides dedicated websites for the student unions. For websites built in Typo3, a web design template is provided, and technical maintenance is handled by HTU. The student unions are then granted independent access, and additional access can be assigned via the HTU Account Manager (HAM).

Other systems can also be hosted, but no technical support is provided for them.
If you wish to use your own alternatives, this must be clarified with the HTU Graz chair.

Please send any changes to: presseref@htugraz.at

E-Mail to your Students

All student councils may send emails regarding academic matters to students in the degree programs assigned to their council. For technical and data protection reasons, these mailings are sent through the chairperson via the TUGRAZonline system. To send a mailing, please email vorsitz@htugraz.at with the following information:

  • The email address from which the message is to be sent
    • must be @htugraz.at or another email address within the HTU network
  • Email subject line
  • Content (plain text or directly as HTML)
  • Desired send date
  • Target audience (degree programs, Master’s / Bachelor’s)
  • No (large) attachments: please provide these as a cloud or web link

Please send this at least two days in advance to allow for timely processing.

HTU Newsletter

The HTU Newsletter is scheduled to be sent out once a month during the semester, in the first week of the month. The newsletter includes only information relevant to your studies.
If you would like to contribute information to the newsletter, please send it to presseref@htugraz.at by the Monday of the last week of the month.
The information should always pertain to the coming month. If possible, please include links to additional information so that the text in the newsletter remains as short and concise as possible.
Guidelines:

  • Headline (max. 75 characters, including spaces)
  • Body text (max. 400 characters, including spaces)
  • Link (URL and link text)
  • Gender-neutral terminology: Student*
  • Form of address: Informal (“Per-Du” / “Duzen”)

HTU Social Media Channels

HTU’s social media channels (currently Facebook, Instagram and TikTok) provide important information about academic programs, as well as current events, offers, and other topics of general academic interest. If you would like to have posts published, please contact presseref@htugraz.at.

TU Info

Link to the TU Info page

This magazine will only be mailed to subscribers and sometimes first year students (except for any ÖH election issues, which will be sent to all students). A lot of them are also available at the Printkultur offices and at HTU Graz.

Articles can be submitted at presse@htugraz.at. The department for communication will send reminders when a new issue is in the works.

All past issues of TU Info are also available digitally in the TU Graz digital library.

HTU Event Calendar

is available at htugraz.at/eventkalender; public events with room reservations are automatically added by us. If you’d like to have additional events listed, please contact raumansuchen@htugraz.at and describe exactly what you’d like.

Infoscreens

The HTU also has informational material displayed on the screens in the HTU office and the study rooms in Inffeldgasse. If you want to add some ads use the HTU Account Manager (HAM). Images can be added under Account -> Advertisements.

You must specify an end date to prevent outdated ads from appearing on the info screens!

Points of Interest

TU Graz themselves also have infoscreens and for bigger events we can also apply for ads to be displayed there.
