Hot Air Soldering Station

We have a Weller WTHA1  hot air station with a power of 900 W. With this powerful device, SMD repairs can be carried out effortlessly.

3D Printer

We offer students the opportunity to use our 3D printer, the Prusa MK4. This printer allows for a maximum print size of 250 mm x 210 mm x 220 mm. Since consumables are used and we need to set aside funds for repairs and the wear and tear of the device, a fee is charged for printing. This will be calculated in advance by an on-site supervisor.

As filament may not always be available, it is recommended to bring your own. Currently, we can offer the following filaments:

  • ASA (black)
  • PLA (blue)

QBOT MINIMill

Our QBOT MINIMill is a versatile milling machine that allows for the processing of various materials such as plastic, wood, and modeling foam. This flexibility makes it ideal for a wide range of projects, whether in prototyping, model making, or electronics.

Here, the mill is primarily used for milling circuit boards. Milling of single-sided and double-sided PCBs is available for a small fee. This offers students the opportunity to turn their own designs into printed circuit boards.

Reflow Oven

We have the Protoflow S reflow oven from LPKF, designed for soldering populated SMD PCBs. With a maximum size of 230 mm x 305 mm, we can accommodate a variety of projects.

Thanks to its high maximum temperature of 320°C, the oven also supports lead-free soldering, making it particularly suitable for environmentally-conscious applications. The precise temperature control ensures even heat distribution, significantly improving the quality of solder joints.

Additionally, we can set different soldering profiles with the Protoflow S to meet the specific requirements of various components. This flexibility is ideal for prototypes and small series production, as it ensures high repeatability and reliability.

We are happy to provide guidance on using the reflow oven and assist in creating optimal soldering profiles to achieve the best results for your projects.
